👩🏻‍✈️ let your gate know you have a disability and need to board early. they can’t ask details so they will allow you to board with wheelchair users. I need the extra time to find my seat and get to know my surroundings with no strangers around.

✈️ the united app (only one I’ve tried) has so many helpful features like a count down, a widget countdown, airport maps, video/text support etc. it really reduced anxiety i have around how much time i had until boarding, landing, etc!

🤳🏻 any time i can communicate my preferences, like in the Uber app, i take it

🌻 more and more places are training their staff to recognize sunflower lanyards and know how to help those with invisible illnesses. i unfortunately couldn’t get one bc DCA didn’t have any volunteers sitting at the desk passing them out, but i ordered one to be ready for next time!
