The AuDHD Paradox ✨

AuDHD is an acronym for both autism and ADHD.

In my personal experience having ADHD and being autistic can be extremely frustrating.

Due to the contrast in my ADHD and my autism it’s like I’m living in constant internal conflict.

To outsiders or anyone who isn’t inside our own head, it’s very hard to understand this struggle. And usually leaves them confused about us.

For example :

I cried before my graduation ceremony in college because I had the whole day planned out of what we needed to do before the ceremony, where I wanted to get pictures, etc.

But things didn’t work out exactly as I had planned, and it made me very emotional and frustrated and led me to crying .

But at the same time, I absolutely love being spontaneous and just going to that random ice cream shop that we see on the road that wasn’t in our plans, but let’s go do it !!

It’s really hard because I find my brain is in a constant battle where autism and ADHD are forever trying to be dominant.

it’s honestly chaos, but it makes me.. me!

And something I’m working on is loving me more :)
