The last station of Hyrox is probably the most grueling one where we need to throw a 6KG ball to a 3 meter target for 100 REPS! To make it even more gruesome, each rep must be done with a FULL DEEP SQUAT where at the bottom of the squat, the participant’s knees must go below 90°.
When I first signed up in March I tried this station I could not even get to 5 reps, not to mention full Hyrox we will have to do this after 8km runs and 7 other crazy workout station 😂
But fast forward on the race day itself, I felt pretty good and strong and could go about 30 unbroken! (There are people who do 100 wall balls unbroken, nonstop! CRAZY!)
I think this is the best thing about Hyrox: we can identify our weaknesses, find ways to work on it and improve eventually. Example from this Hyrox, sandbag lunges is my weakness and now I have a clear objective I can work on 😌💪🏻
