This is a multi generation way of cooking Green Beans in my family. All my grandmas did it this way ❤️
The key is use what you have on hand!
•Crispy Bacon or Bacon Bits or Bacon Grease (that’s what’s in my jar)
•Salt & Pepper (I used garlic salt)
Onion (I used onion powder & minced onion because that’s what I had on hand)
•Garlic (I used minced & a wee bit of onion powder)
Chicken or Beef stock or Bullion Cubes
**(Newman/red potatoes is PERFECT in this, but I forgot them at the store 😒)
Crock pot: Low for 6-8 hours or High for 4 (don’t drown them in water- LET THESE BABIES SWEAT!
Stove: Bring to boil and simmer down -about an hour
My twist-I like a little crushed pepper flakes in mine & end it with half n half or heavy whipping cream 🤌
(FYI-These are like your Sunday dinner or Holiday beans… I’m not encouraging you to eat bacon grease every single day…BUT then again…YOLO! 😉)
