Hamburger Steak With Country Gravy
Tender, seasoned ground beef patties are pan-fried and covered with a creamy, country gravy.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds grass fed ground beef
- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
Step One - In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Shape into 6 patties.
Step Two - Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil. When hot add the ground beef patties.
Step Three - Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side. Turn heat down to medium if they are browning too quickly.
Step Four - Remove from pan and set aside
Seasoned Potato’s
- 6 medium homegrown potatoes, cut into quarters
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 1/4 teaspoon salt (save 1/4 for after roasting)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Parsley, chopped finely or dried
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
Instructions
Step One - Preheat the oven to 425°F. Start by washing the potatoes and cutting them into quarters.
Step Two - Add to a bowl, follow with oil, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Mix well.
Step Three - Place on a baking tray. Add cubes of butter on the potatoes.
Step Four - Bake for 45 - 50 minutes, flipping in between.
Step Five - Finish with fresh parsley and more salt. Serve immediately and enjoy!
