The long days of grad school can be really hard to navigate with POTS. Here are some habits I try to maintain to help me feel my best and allow me to reach all of my academic goals!

1. Water, water, and more water. This is super obvious, but I work in a lab. With no food or drinks allowed, I have to be a little more conscious of reminding myself to drink water. My stanley is of course my favorite way to meet my water goals!

Liquid IV is a lifesaver for days that I donโ€™t drink enough water, or if Iโ€™m just feeling not that great

2. FREQUENT high protein meals. Again, this is something that seems simple, but for some reason having consistent meals is difficult for me as a grad student. Going to long without eating is the quickest way to make me fatigued, and protein keeps me the most sustained!

3. Bone broth! I love bone broth, and this one from trader joes is cheap enough that I can drink it every day. I add extra salt to it, and it has protein and so many other benefits.

I am still figuring out how to make myself feel my best as a grad student! These are what have helped me a lot and Iโ€™m always looking for more wellness tips if you have some to share!
