Cardio is a term that seems to scare people! It’s a very challenging state to be in when your heart rate is in a continuous raised level. I have found it feels more like a mental battle than anything 🫀
Everyone has different goals and desires, meaning this post is very broad and for a general understanding. However, cardio is an important TOOL that can be utilized to MAXIMIZE results for certain physical desires.
Don’t forget, the heart is a huge MUSCLE and is vital to our health and longevity, so why not use it and take care of it?!
My advice 🏃♂️🏃🏃♀️
- understand the importance of cardio and cardiovascular health
- try and incorporate some type of cardio into your routine 3-4x a week depending on how often you are lifting, beginner or not, etc.
- try and aim for a steady state cardio for 20-40 minutes depending on specific type.
- HIIT sessions (circuits, sprints, etc.) can be done anywhere from 10-30 minutes depending on specific type
I cannot give specific workouts/advice regarding workout routines as a program or gym routine differs for every individual based off their lifestyle, personal goals, desires, time/days available to workout, etc!
