JOHOR BAHRU 3D2N STAYCATION (day 2) 🎀💖🤩☺️

back with day 2 of my JB trip itinerary! ✨

we had a restful sleep at Opero Hotel Southkey & headed out for Dimsum breakfast at around 10am!

Breakfast: Guiyuan Dimsum

• we like the Dimsum here!!! my favourite would be their fried carrot cake (super soft!!!) + Har gow (prawns were HUGE 🦐)

• we were so full and they have many different dishes available, from steamed to fried Dimsum & Chee Cheong fun too!

• there was a queue when we reached but the wait wasn’t too long!

Drink: CHAGEE 🤍

• snaking long queues in Singapore since they reopened & I haven’t been able to get my hands on it because idw to spend time queueing!!!

• got my favourite white peach oolong milk tea & it was so good! I got it at 30% sweetness level with no toppings

Lunch: Oriental Kopi ☕️

• I’ve been a huge fan of their egg tarts but haven’t tried their mains so we decided to give them a try!

• there was a looooong queue even when we were there at 2+pm having a late lunch!

• personally liked their dry meesiam!!!! ✨

GYM TIME (as requested by BF 🫠)

• the gym at Opero Hotel is quite well equipped & it was empty so we had it all to ourselves!

Dinner: Da Cheng Lok Lok

• we called for grabfood! chose the Thai sauce & the sour + spicy sauce! overall not too bad to be able to have Lok Lok in the comfort of our hotel!

Dessert: Beans Factory ❤️🤍❤️ (must eat!!)

• my favourite!!!! I had it in Singapore and one bowl was close to sgd$10…… it was almost half the price in Singapore & I would highly recommend the Taro family bowl for taro lovers!!!

• I love their taro balls it’s so CHEWY & the orh nee is fragrant & not too sweet!!! ✨ go try!!! I went to the one in Mount Austin area

Massage: Borneo Oasis 🧘🏻‍♀️

• this was pretty good!! we went for the traditional foot and shoulder massage & we were seated in a big room with a big screen playing relaxing music and videos! fits about 8 people in the room

• served hot ginger tea after the massage which was rejuvenating! recommend if you’re in Mount Austin area 🤍
