BUDGET HOTEL @ JB!! ONLY $38/NIGHT?!!!!!!

As someone who frequents JB A LOT cus I love the exchange rate hehe (and the food ugh), this place IS SUCH A STEAL! Even cheaper than airbnb?? And its so convenient (literally 5 mins or less away from CIQ, Komtar and City square)

⭐️Service

- Check in was hassle free! I booked via agoda and i only paid $38 SGD for one night (sumpah ok not exaggerating)

- Take note have to deposit 20RM for the key in case u lose it, but i think thats reasonable

- Staff were v friendly and willing to help u with whatever queries u hv

- Room was already ready for us when we arrived, it came w free water, tea, coffee and a kettle for u to boil water

⭐️Location

- Its in an amazing location! Surrounded by food stalls, convenience stalls and malls!

- Noise is really minimal, occasional noise from outside and along the corridor but I hardly heard anything

⭐️Cleanliness

- The general look of the place was clean! There was no trash lying around or any funky smells

BUT

- some dirt marks on the walls and signs of wear and tear in the toilet (for the price I rly have no complaints tho)

- Lobby area was super clean and modern looking

- bedsheets had no stains too (thank god) and (my bf and) I didnt itch at all! (We r quite sensitive to such things so its a good sign too)

⭐️Security

- No security guard in or around the hotel

- Lifts are accessible by anyone, even if they dont have a key card

- Doors to enter the room require a key card (2 are given)

- Double locking system from within the room

⭐️Amenities

- There is a lounge room where u can play pool + many areas to chill

- Buffet breakfast is available (if u opt for it)

- Free wifi! Easily accessible but connection is meh

- 3 pin wall plug just like SG so dunnid to worry abt adapter

- Hair dryer available in rooms too, or u can ask the staff cus some rooms dont have (dont expect much… it took me ages to dry my hair)

- Shower is a bit tight for my bf whos a bit bigger, hes 1.8m and a mens L/XL

- Got fridge to keep any food / buy ur own water and drinks

- Safe available too but we didnt use it

- My room came with a nice big window too, I hate rooms with no windows so this was rly appreciated hehe

- TV in the room works well too, no complains there but I didnt rly use it

- 2 big mirrors

- Hand soap, body wash, shampoo, toothbrushes, shower caps, toothpaste & sanitary bag are all provided too

OVERALL, this place is a 4/5 (it is a 4 star hotel afterall) and I will def come back! Its so worth?? Even better than Holiday Inn (I had a rly bad experience there).

I paid $130+ SGD per night (1 room, 4pax), I found dirty socks in a corner, used tissue in the toilet, staff were very uninterested in helping you, the bed was super creaky and the mattress sank in. I had back pains for a week after sleeping there for 2 nights 🤢🤢🤢
