pamper yourself your next JB stay! 💆🏼‍♀️

Yes I was one of the many Singaporeans that headed to Johor Bahru over the long weekend that just ended 😷 I stayed in Amari Johor Bahru from Thursday to Saturday (3D2N) to beat the jam and crowd to and fro. Thankfully arriving Thursday morning and leaving Saturday afternoon meant a mere 5-15 minute wait at the JB custom.

ANYWAYS, here’s what I loved about this property and why I will definitely stay here again —

💳 PRICE: Given how it was a long weekend, the prices were not cheap for a usual JB getaway. It was roughly $72/pax for 1 night through Agoda but thought it’s ok to splurge a bit given the hotel’s quality, ratings and how it is relatively cheaper compared to having a staycay in SG. P.S. Remember to activate Shopback, I earned ~$14 cashback (~5% of booking).

A quick search on a non-PH night starts from $45/pax, and I’m sure there are cheaper rooms if you book earlier. Note that we also had to pay tourist tax at RM10/pax upon checking in!

📍LOCATION: Right opposite City Square, and around 10 minute walk from customs. It is also a 10 minute walk away from Hiap Joo Banana Cake / Cafes area - super convenient! Not to mention, downstairs is HDL, Guoma (reviewed their RM55 hotpot buffet), and Principle by TAM (another IG-worthy cafe).

🛏️ ROOM: The Superior King Room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed - laundry bags, bedroom slippers, toiletries, etc. There’s also ample plugs around to charge your devices. Loved how the room is brightly lit with natural light 🌤️ In general, the room feels super cosy and comfy. As we had limited data, the free WIFI was our saving grace when we’re back - high speed and stays connected at all times (don’t have to reconnect over and over)

Definitely an option to consider when booking your next JB getaway (another PH coming soon end of month) 😀
