Studio Ghibli: Don’t make the same mistakes as me

What an adorable exhibition at the ArtScience Museum 🥰

I didn’t have the most pleasant experience though, so learn from my mistakes.

1) Don’t take any slot after 5pm because the museum closes at 7pm and the staff will keep rushing you through the exhibition. In a hurry, I didn’t get to read the storyboards properly nor spend enough time admiring the sets and props. For a comfortable pace, I’d say you need roughly 90 minutes as there are 2 floors to walk through.

2) Try to avoid weekends and go on a weekday if you can. It was so crowded on a Sunday that the queues to take photos at the popular film sets took pretty long. For the train pic with No-Face, we had to queue almost 25 minutes. Having said that, the staff was nice enough to take photos for everyone. But again, they will rush you if the queue is long.

3) Don’t skip the queues and think you can come back later cause the queues don’t end with every new batch coming in every 15 minutes. So, if you really want a pic with that particular exhibit, just get in the queue.

4) The exhibition will be a lot more interesting and fun if you’ve seen the Ghibli films. So, if you haven’t watched them, try to see a few before you go. Many of them are on Netflix and I can assure you are well worth your time.
