The truth is, there is no quick fix. We don't have a time machine and we can't go back in time and make better choices. But we can learn and grow and accept what happened.

1. Over eating happens to everyone. Let yourself know it'll be okay! It isn't the end of the world, you won't undo all of your progress.

2. Get back on track the next time you eat. If you drop your phone and it cracks, you wouldn't take a hammer and smash it right? It's the same thing with weightloss. It's a better to overeat a small amount and get on track, than lose motivation completely.

3. Don't punish yourself though. Even though it might be hard to not see as much progress as you wanted, you'll still see progress as long as your total calories are less than the deficit for the week! I overate by 1000 calories, my weekly deficit is 3500, I still had a deficit of 2500.

4. Learn why it happened. Crunched for time and had to eat out? Visiting family and had a lot of comfort foods? Is it a situation you can prevent in the future or take steps to mitigate the effects?
