hi! this is my first post on lemon8 and i wanted to use it to document my journey as i (try my very best) to conquer my 8 week challenge at bft ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜†

it starts today (oct 2), and it ends in two months. some of my personal goals during this challenge (aligned with the goals bft set):

1. meal prep, cutting sugar

2. at least 7 hours of sleep

3. bft 4-5x a week

4. walk 10,000 steps daily

before the challenge starts, i am making four changes to my mindset because i really am my own biggest enemyโ€ฆ so i need to first conquer the war within myself before i can even imagine conquering this challenge hehโ€ฆ

my four mindset changes: ๐Ÿ’ญ

1. understand that i have to start somewhere: i am most scared for the body scan because i havenโ€™t seen my body composition ever. scared because i am not ready to see the numbers on the scale, fearful of how itโ€™ll affect me. but thereโ€™s really no need to because i have to start somewhere, and iโ€™m here now! and thatโ€™s what matters.

2. stop talking bad about my body: this is the hardest to me i think, because i keep picking on myself ๐Ÿ˜ญ i really am my biggest hater but really i should be so thankful that it is healthy and iโ€™m able to work out and move and breathe! learning to honour my body in this process โ˜บ๏ธ

3. to be teachable: be open to learn more about macros, perfect my form, to listen to my trainers and to really give up what i thought i knew so i can really embrace and grow from this whole experience

4. the practice of commitment: i have issues with commitment, not just in relationships (jk), but really, committing to projects in my life. i always find myself giving up halfway, not even because iโ€™m bad at it, just because iโ€™m lazy or i lose motivation. iโ€™m hoping this challenge will help me to be resilient and tenacious, to fight any bad thoughts and to push through the end hehe

okay thanks for reading! i hope to update this after every week ends, just to reflect on things iโ€™ve learnt, changes in my body and lifestyle changes iโ€™ve made. and maybe itโ€™s just future me reading but i hope when i look back iโ€™ll be proud of how far iโ€™ve come ~
