Why did i do such a ‘dangerous’ job? 🤔

As we #Adulting101 , we tend to work odd jobs and jobs that people never expect you to work. This was the case for me too 😜

I started taking up this side hustle as a home caregiver (since i am studying Nursing) and i thought it would be a great experience for me. My dad was concerned as it involves me heading up to my patients’ home alone, where my safety could have been compromised BUT this is where I learn to protect myself and #GlowUp (Even though i was also afraid 😂)

Here is my experience as a home caregiver:

1. It was super fun exploring different parts of Singapore and entering homes that i never expect myself to - from small homes to large mansions! 😂

2. Every visit was a learning experience for me. I was looked down upon by one of my patient as i was too young (was 23 years old), and i was also struggling to take care of some patients as I was a stranger afterall. But at the same time, i learn new wisdom and things about life from other patients!! 🥰

3. And while every job is tough, getting appreciated was one of the best feeling ever! I receive food (yes patients like to feed us food) and 5 stars rating (yes, our caregiver app is like grabfood where you can rate the delivery rider)!!!

⚠️ You dont need nursing certificate/background to join this caregiving work as training will be provided (unless you are nursing student like me then we could start work immediately!!)

All in all, i think adulting made us realised the things we could achieve and do even though we were afraid at the start!!!! So continue slaying y’all 🫶🏻
