BEST Account and Credit Card for young adults!!📈

Adulting can be scary and as a young working adult, I sometimes still feel like a student trapped in a working adult’s body 😥😖 but of course working also means having a higher spending & saving power, and after researching I found that this Savings Account & Credit Card best works for me! Not gonna gatekeep so here’s a #adulting guide:

1️⃣ Standard Chartered Jumpstart Account 🏦

-only those between 18-26 years old are eligible to open this account. Once opened, you’ll have this account forever (even past 26). What I like about this savings account is that they give a base interest of 2% p.a., up to $20,000, no strings attached. That’s about $33 of interest every month!!

I know there are savings accounts out there that give higher rates, but those have strings attached to it (e.g salary crediting, credit card spending, etc). I find it a hassle to fulfill those criteria and you get very marginal interest if you don’t fulfill it.

That’s why Jumpstart is my preferred go to account to get a fixed monthly interest on my savings.

2️⃣ Standard Chartered SMART Credit Card 💳

-this is probably not the most popular credit card out there but I LOVE IT. It works so well for me & I use it every single day. What’s so good about this is that there’s ZERO annual fees forever!! There’s usually annual fees involved for credit cards and sometimes I forget to waive it off or am unable to waive it, and it’s such a hassle tbh. With this card, I never have to worry about annual fees 🤑

They also give a 6% cashback on everyday merchants, such as fast food chains, coffee & toast stores, digital subscriptions (Netflix, Spotify, etc) and daily commute (Bus & MRT). I’ve been using my credit card as an ez-link so getting a 6% cashback on my commute is pretty sick!! Also ngl, we’re all guilty of visiting our fav fast food chains, getting our coffee fix in & tuning in to our online entertainment. These are all staple merchants that i can now get a 6% cashback on with the SMART Credit Card #WorthIt

They are also currently running a promotion till 31 Dec, just gotta apply and activate your credit card within 30days to receive a $300 cashback! Easy money if you ask me.
