❌ DBS Multiplier account. Too many hoops, too little interest

❌ Pay bills or buy investment/insurance products with banks

Read this post if you are looking for bank accounts without salary crediting requirements!

Let’s talk simple and straightforward which is what these 3 accounts are! Basically, these accounts work even if you would like to just credit salary, save and spend a minimal amount each month on the respective bank’s credit card.

Assuming a $10k account balance and S$3k monthly salary, these are the realistic interest rate you will earn

👉🏻 1. OCBC 360 (3.2% or 3.8% with min. card spend)*

-Credit salary of S$1.8k or more

-Save $500 every month

-Spend minimum $500 on eligible cards (see pic 3)

👉🏻 2. UOB One (3.85%)*

-Credit salary of S$1.6k or more

-Spend minimum $500 on eligible cards (see pic 3)

👉🏻 3. SCB Bonus$aver (3.8%)

-Credit salary of S$3k or more

-Spend minimum $500 on Bonus$aver World Mastercard

If 2 or more accounts are equally attractive to you, look for their sign-up promo. As a rule of thumb, I would not sign up for a bank account or credit card without a sign-up bonus. Fortunately, all 3 have sign up promos now! 🤑

Personally, I opted for the OCBC 360 account as my current credit card strategy does not include any UOB cards. But that might change soon!
