I’m planning a trip with my family to NZ, and I want to lessen the financial load of getting a ticket there, so in my influenza haze, I dedicated (too much) time to researching on how I could best rack up the miles quickly.

If you need some miles too and you have time to spare to do your own research, here’s what I did.

1. Applied for UOB lady’s card to enjoy their 6MPD promo that will end on 29th Feb.

- caveat: you must choose only 1 category to spend on, and because the promo ends soon, you won’t be able to change this, so pick wisely. Max applicable spend is $1k.

- apply soon and you can get 6k miles from this. 🫡

- it only took 12 hours for them to approve my application.

2. Applied for Citi Rewards’ Card to enjoy their “not-so-free” gift of 16k miles with a min spend of $800 within 2 calendar months from approval.

- if you already spend >$400 a month, this should be a nobrainer.

- Caveat: Check their applicable 10x reward spending categories to boost your mile rewards

- if I play it right, I can get 19k miles from this 🥹🤝🏻

****Please do your own research too. There are many other attractive sign up bonuses for credit cards out there but this is very specific to my use case. I heard HSBC revolution giving away PS5, ends today tho 👀
