π Cafe Onion Anguk Branch , Seoul
One of the most visited cafe that I saw many of my friends and tourists that are visiting Seoul for the first time is none other than Cafe Onion in Anguk area π€
Especially if you're visiting on weekends you can expect long lines and difficulty to get a seat.
Let me break down the hype so you can decide if it's worth a visit or not on your next trip! π

π§±Β Anguk & Seongsu, The Branches
Iβm a regural customer at Cafe Onion myself, I love their bakeries selections and their coffee is good as well but since I live near the Seongsu area where they actually have another branch, I tend to visit it more than the Anguk branch. They have similar menu but not as crowded and less known since it's located not in tourist area
I've made a dedicated post about the Cafe Onion (Seongsu) before, you can check it out here (hyperlink)
π€Β So why the hype? Pros n cons?
The Anguk branch building is in a traditional Korean Hanok house shape so it's more attractive to tourist who wants to also take pictures here compared to the Old Factory concept of the Seongsu branch π§
PROS π
- Traditional Korean Hanok house building, aesthetic for picture taking
- Located in tourist area (Anguk) so more things to do after/before
- Traditional floor seating to really sets the vibe
CONS π«
- Long waiting on busy hours (i estimate +30mins from grabbing your bakeries and ordering drinks)
- Might not get a seat unless you come very early
- Crowded so might not be the best place to chat
Both branches are worth a visit imo but if you only want to try their bakeries and coffee, I would prefer the one in Seongsu!
