Did you know that by simply changing your hand placement you can target different muscles?

Today we have a dumbbell row, where I am showing you the difference between two variations.

We are going to have a neutral grip variation, where your palm is facing inward towards your body, and we’re going to have a wide grip variation where your palm is facing backwards away from the body!

The main differences will be listed below...

1. A neutral grip dumbbell row is going to be done by rowing the weight towards your hip/bellybutton area, to target your lat muscles a.k.a. the sides of your back

2. A wide grip dumbbell row is going to be done by rowing up-and-down, keeping that elbow out at just about a 90° angle in order to target the upper back, specifically the inner back and the rear delts

**Pro tip - is that if you want to bias the rear delts, you can row up and out at a 45° angle to best lineup with the rear delt fibers
