MY FIRST LASER EXPERIENCE 🤯 (PAIN? HARDSELL?)

Anyone else like me that wants to do laser but scared of pain? YES THATS ME. I have always wanted to try laser to get rid of my scarring and minimise my pores so I can have better looking skin but I’m always very scared. This time round opportunity came and I decided to just give it a go!

I did my laser at Astute Medical at the Funan outlet. Staff brought me in to the waiting room for registration and offered me a tea while waiting cause I was early. Registration didn’t take long, signed a form and I was send to the room to cleanse my face as I have make up on. The lady who helped with my cleansing was super nice and gentle that made me felt more “comfortable”. Once everything was done I took some photos of my raw face and going in for the laser!

Dr Stella explained what I needed to know about the laser and I opted for the minimal downtime one which is the combo long pulse + pico laser as I needed to work and requires me to wear make up. The one that can helped my scarring more was the fractional laser but the downtime is about 5-7 days which I couldn’t afford 🥹 but honestly if yall can settle without make up, go for it!!

When the procedure is about to start I was SUPER scared I kept asking the Dr if it’s gonna hurt cause there was no numbing for minimal downtime laser. She was very nice to always let me feel with one shot before she go around my entire face. Honestly it’s not pain but just very hot when it’s going around the same spot over and over. So a good 2/10 pain 😇

I’m done in about 10 minutes and my pigmentation as you can see from the last pic was x10000 red and I had to take a mask from the clinic 😂 Redness went down within one hour but it’s still quite prominent.

All in all I think the clinic did a really good job letting me understand which procedure suits me and did a thorough explanation which gave me a peace of mind.

❣️Aftercare is very important after laser. You need to keep apply sunscreen every 4-6 hours and moisturise your face regularly cause it’s gonna be dry! I bought spray on sunscreen as it’s easier to apply on top of my make up. Biore sunscreen mist one is a good option! Smells nice and gets the job done ❣️

❣️ 6-8 sessions will be good to see results for your face when you do laser! ❣️
