Bone Broth Chicken Soup

Drinking bone broth has so many potential health benefits, and using it in your chicken soup is going to quite literally fight fall flu season!

I use a whole roasted chicken and pick it clean storing all the chicken for the soup in a separate bowl. SAVE THE CARCASS.

I then chop all my veggies for the soup and set them aside saving ALL ends, celery leaves, onion and garlic skins, fresh herb ends, and lemon rinds. Basically throw away nothing.

Throw the carcass and ALL veggie scraps into a large pot covering with chicken stock and simmer for as long as you have time for. I like to do atleast 2 hours. Season with salt and anything you desire, extra garlic powder and onion powder, red pepper flakes, paprika and thyme - I also add a dash of hot sauce. The more you add the more opportunity for a well rounded amount of vitamin and minerals.

Once it has has a super rich color and has been taste tested - strain it into a a bowl saving the liquid. Trash the rest and you’re ready to go! You’ve richened your soup without purchasing anything else.
