Previously I did a post about increasing productivity, so this one shall be about motivation!

Here are my tips and tricks for being motivated to have a productive day ;)

1. Have an organised workspace 🖥

One of the main reason people leave their home to do work in cafes is because of a messy living environment! If your study / work area is messy, how can you even process your thoughts properly? Henceforth, people would rather pay hefty amounts for a soothing ambience than work in their messy rooms.

Having a neat and organised workspace with essential items within reach does increase one’s productivity. Perhaps it’s just me, but having a beautiful work setup makes me feel good and motivated to do more!

2. Set the right ambience 🕯

This associates with point No.1: to have an organised workspace. Another reason people find it easier to study / work in beautiful cafes is because of the right ambience, or should I say — good vibes. Find a quiet spot in the house, play some relaxing music, light a candle with your favourite scent and start working.

3. Display a motivational quote that speaks to you. 🦋

This works the same way as affirmations. Read or write out a quote that motivates you to study / work harder. Don’t just pick any random quote. Pick one that truly speaks to your current circumstance or goals. Display it somewhere visible on you desk so that you will constantly be reminded of it. Read it before starting work and constantly look at it until it gets embedded into your brain. That’s how our subconscious work.

4. Reward yourself with frequent short breaks. 💕

For instance, study for an hour without distractions and give yourself a 10 minutes break every now and then. This helps to refresh your mind and prevents you from burning yourself out.

5. Watch study / work with me vlogs. 📖

This gives me motivation when I feel like I am stuck in a rut. Watching it makes me feel like I am wasting my time while other people have already accomplished a whole lot of stuff in a day. (In a healthy way of course!) This in turn motivates me to pull myself together and start working.
