🇰🇷 the viral onion cafe in seoul: was it worth it?

literally EVERYONE has heard of this viral cafe in seoul: Cafe Onion Anguk but the real question is, is it really worth the long wait?

i came on a weekday at 8.45am and there was already a queue 😵‍💫 but it moved relatively fast (fyi there are separate queues for dining in and takeaway). you can also choose to sit outside!

after about a 20mins wait, we were guided to our seats and the hugee selection of yummy pastries 😋😋 you have to pick out what you want first before joining the queue inside for payment!

we got the famous pandoro, strawberry pastry, shine muscat croissant and chilli sausage roll. ALL of them were SOOO GOODD. the pandoro was like a cake topped with icing sugar. would recommend to share it instead of having it alone as it might just be too much sugar. the strawberry pastry was also flaky on the outside and the strawberries were fresh and sweet. the shine muscat grapes were also super sweet and together with the cream, omg it was amazing. for the savoury item, we got the chilli sausage roll. it was not too spicy and complemented really well the croissant like outer layer.

for drinks, i had the ice chocolate and wow it really is one of the best ice chocolate i ever had. it was not jelak at all and i finished it SO QUICK. would highly recommend this if you’re looking for something other than coffee!

our total damage was 41500₩ which i would say is very reasonable (we had a total of 4 adults). the place was also an extremely ideal photo spot if you’re looking for something abit more traditional.

ill definitely be back !!!

TLDR: DON’T miss this spot. extremely worth a visit!
