birthday date & custom gift ideas for your s/o!

hey 🍋! my bf's birthday just passed and i js wanted to share everything that i had planned to celebrate this special occasion!! sg is q small and i often run out of ideas on where to bring my friends/family out for their birthdays so i hope this helps someone 💗

stop 1: S.E.A. Aquarium 𓆝 ⋆｡𖦹°‧🫧

we went to the aquarium for our first ever valentines date 3 yrs ago so this spot, while a little basic, had a special place in our hearts 🤍 we took a lot of cute pictures together and just chilled and talked while watching the fish swim past us! definitely one of my favourite kind of dates and i'd come back more often if the tickets weren't so expensive 💔

i unfortunately fell sick on the day of our date and we only managed to go out in the late afternoon just before the aquarium closed... we had to cut our date short and missed out on the second half of my plan, which was to take photobooth pictures Solace Studios - VivoCity #02-37 🫠

stop 2: Lime Restaurant ⋆✴︎˚｡⋆

we've been wanting to eat at a hotel buffet for a long time and after some research, i found this buffet for $78/pax on mon and tues (excl gst & svc charge) i gave my bf a few options when planning and ultimately he decided on this one bc of the wide range of seafood and cuisines they offered! they also had really good reviews online!

the seafood was really fresh and the cooked food was yummy as well! my personal favourite was the lamb in black pepper sauce and truffle mashed potatoes 😍

1. customised kewpie keychains of us 🤍

i got these through a friend from @/ericaism on instagram! these custom kewpie babies are such a perfect gift imo bc they're really tiny and easy to carry around!!

i'm not sure if the seller still does customs for kewpie babies bc i couldn't find it on her website but she does sell other stuff too! her attn to detail is insanely good and she managed to replicate my bf and i despite only being provided with a cropped picture from our photobooth LOL she was also rlly accommodating with what i wanted and overall i had a great experience buying from her :)

2. customised photobooth prints!

as i mentioned, i was sick and we had to cut short our date! to make up for the lack of photobooth pics, i made customised photobooth prints using the pictures we took at the aquarium! i followed this tutorial i saw on tiktok by @/geekysuperman (or dm me for the link if you're interested!) and it turned out so perfect! i didn't have time to get them professionally printed so i printed them at home and pasted them on cards (the kind you buy in popular) my printer ink colours turned out quite bad so i do plan on getting them professionally printed at a store once i have the time!

at the end of the day, the two of us had lots of fun and he enjoyed his birthday a lot! i'd call it a success despite having our plans cut short and changed last min bc i was sick <3
