Affordable Matcha Korean Skincare

BLAB is an independent korean beauty brand which aims to create high quality products with natural ingredients (that do not harm the environment). Whilst i'm not super into "natural" or green-washed brands, their minimalist aesthetic and affordable price-point attracted me! I was introduced to the brand through their PR gifted products, where I got to try their matcha hydrating facial toner, matcha hydrating sunscreen & PHA perfect port cleansing oil (all already reviewed on my account). Here's my review for the remaining 2 matcha products:

🍵 matcha hydrating cleanser [3.5/5] ~$8 for 120ml here

✨interesting uniformly lumpy texture o.O almost looks like beads... I'm so intrigued LOL!

✨lathers fast, into a fluffy, bubbly foam

✨alcohol, fragrance & EO-free

❗️won't call it hydrating, but not dehydrating either

🍵 matcha hydrating clear ampoule [4/5] <$7 for 40ml here

✨gel serum texture

✨super aesthetic packaging :3

✨convenient squeeze tube makes me reach for it often...

✨hydrating, with very slight emollience

✨highly spreadable, slightly cooling on application

✨easy addition to any day/night routine

✨hydrating, soothing ingredients: Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides (sea buckthorn) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Oat Kernel Extract, Artichoke Leaf Extract, Camellia Saneness Leaf Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid

✨alcohol, fragrance & EO-free

❗️called “clear” ampoule but wouldn’t say it does much for blemishes

Overall, their products are simple without any crazy ingredients.

〰️ Their cleanser and toner seem to be more suitable for oilier skin, with the sunscreen being suited more for dry skin, and the ampoule being rather generic (but still pleasant).

〰️ Due to the fragrance, EO and alcohol-free attributes, they are geared towards sensitive-folks too!

〰️ Not super blown away by the greentea-ness of the line, as there are many other products out there fighting in this same arena

〰️ The affordability definitely makes their products worth a shot if you're on a budget!
