Understand your Partner Better!

I talked about Lessons I Learnt from Hinge and now we move on to the dating phase. Everyone is different so rather than focusing on the “internet stereotypes” of how one should treat their partner, why not understand you and your partner so that y’all can set ur own standards.

I will talk about 3 popular tests I believe all couples should know about (it can be used with friends and family too!)

1️⃣ 5 Love Languages

Acts of service, gift giving, words of affirmation, quality time & physical touch

Personally I feel that in a relationship the two parties should be contributing to ALL 5 love languages no matter how small of a % it holds. That being said, it’s nearly impossible to perform all 5 concurrently hence, taking note of the top 2 is sufficient.

P.s to know one’s giving and receiving love language is a plus as personally I love giving gifts but I’m quite picky so I rather others don’t give me gifts unless they specifically know I want it)

2️⃣ MBTI

ESTP, ESTJ, ESFP, ESFJ, ENTP, ENTJ, ENFP, ENTJ

ISTP, ISTJ, ISFP, ISFJ, INTP, INTJ, INFP, INTJ

The ever popular 16 personality types. I love this test the most as my Mbti has changed over the past few years as I grown and adapted.

You are even able to search (e.g. “relationship between estp and intj”) to see what similarities and differences you and ur partner have. Of course make sure to clarify with ur partner and not assume everything on the internet!

3️⃣ Horoscope

Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn

I included this for the fun of it cause it’s the easiest to find out BUT I believe people should use the horoscopes with a pinch of salt. To determine how one is based on the day/place/time they were born in way too generic imo.

However it may be a fun activity for you and your partner to read about each other as everyone has 3 types (sun, rising & moon). A simple google search will lead you to sites to calculate your signs~
