Aircon trunking not matching 🫠

Hi zesties! We wanted to share a few instances of vendor fails that we found during our renovation journey. Basically, the mister and I visited the site every day (more often than our ID) and would spot these fails before he did 😛

Aircon trunking: Our living room aircon unit was an add on (on top of the ones the house already came with) so the technicians had to run the trunking through two toilets and our MBR (let’s save that story for another day). When our ID texted us that the technicians were done installing the AC, we swooped down to the house to check it out.

The aircon itself was working well but I found an eyesore in the guest toilet. There was a piece in the casement / trunking that didn’t match the rest?? 😵‍💫 (the piece was lighter than the rest and not made of the same material) To make it worse, the location was right across the toilet bowl so it was so obvious. Yet the vendor left and said the job was done 🙃🙃

⚠️ We updated our ID who promptly got the vendor to return a few days later to replace the casement for an overall seamless look ✅✅. They told us they ran out of the material hence “patched” with the one in the photo 👻

Lesson learnt here is a job well done in a vendor’s eyes, might not be 10/10 in our eyes 🫠
