How is this the number 1 ranked bar in Singapore 😂

📍: Jigger & Pony

Was very excited to try Jigger & Pony as it’s ranked as the best bar in SG, number 3️⃣ in Asia and number1️⃣4️⃣ in the world.

Long story short - the place is nice and the drinks are good, but neither the ambience nor the drinks or hospitality were that unique or stood out in any way. It seemed like just a regular high end hotel bar with good drinks. I’m not sure how this got to the number 1 position.

1) Ugly Tomatoes 🍅 - this was the BEST drink I tried. Umami bomb & very well mixed. 5⭐️s. I would come back for this.

2) Yuzu Whiskey sour 🍋 - it was good but nothing great. I’ve had better whiskey sours at other bars 4⭐️s

3) Espresso Martini 🍸 - Twas good too. I’m not a martini person so don’t have a lot of references to compare with. It had this huge caramel thing in the centre that you can eat. 3.8⭐️s

4) Pear & Tonic 🍐 - I loved the pear flavour actually but it was too mild. It is listed as a milder cocktail to be fair but even still, it was too mild. 3.5⭐️s

Ambience & Service:

Ambience & interior was nice but there’s nothing special. Very business vibe with a lot of post work office people.

Service was good - the staff were friendly and would chat a bit when serving.

They have refillable tapioca chips for free too.

Happy hour - 6-730pm but only applies on 3 chosen cocktails, some wines and a beer. HH price is $19 and normal price is $28.
