Turkey: EU Holidays Tour

First time going to Turkey on a tour group and yknow how the myth is “tours are for uncles/aunties”, it’s actually quite true 🤣 Most of them were retired already, enjoying their lives going for various tours e.g. Chan Brothers, ASA, WTS etc. Hahaha but honestly I would rate the overall experience 3/5 ⭐️

Took a 11 hours direct flight to Istanbul via Singapore Airlines and the main highlights for 🇹🇷 were definitely the hot air balloon but it wasn’t included in the tour package price that I paid for. I had to pay an additional 280USD for it, same goes for the Jeep Safari, topped up 120USD. These two were optional activities so if you’re not keen to join, it’s totally fine. Whereas in the third picture, the visit to Pamukkale (also known as the “Cotton Castle”) were part of the itinerary and it was like a hot spring/salt lake which was really gorgeous!

I didn’t take much photos of the hotel room itself (pretty standard, can find on google easily) but I remembered that the Doubletree Hilton Cappadocia and Canakkale were the better ones, considering that almost every single day I switched hotels. I think I stayed in 6 different hotels in total 😮‍💨

Added the itinerary brochure for reference in case anyone is curious and I paid around $2338 for the entire tour which included the flight tickets, hotels, food (mainly buffets which were not fantastic) and the transportation. I think tours are really convenient and worth the 💰 because you don’t have to plan at all, just follow the schedule but at the same time it’s really tiring to wake up early like 6/7am everyday (even though can sleep on the bus also)
