10/10 MUST TRY LU ROU FAN IN SG 😗🫶🏻

📍Braise 卤之饭 @ Golden Mile

Wah firstly can I just say that I have NOTHING BUT PRAISES for this lu rou fan stall 😭🤎 HUGE FAN of lu rou fan and this DEFINITELY DID NOT LET ME DOWN AT ALL <3

We ordered:

-Braised Pork Cheek Set ($8.50) 🍚⭐️

-Braised Pork Rice ($3.50) 🍚

-Add on: Pork Trotter ($2) 🐖

Admittedly the $8.50 pork cheek set is definitely on the steeper end BUUUT ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY because it was pretty filling and you have mushrooms, tofu, taupok, vegetable, meat and runny ramen egg all in a bowl. Super worth imo! 🤤 ALSO THE MEAT. OMG. ITS DAMN TENDER???? LIKE NO KIDDING really super soft like will melt in my mouth kind and it soaked up the delicious braised (lowkey herbal-ish) sauce which made it super flavourful and fragrant - surprisingly not TOO fatty nor salty as well! They also lathered a generous amount of sauce so no grain of rice was forgotten ✌🏻MAJOR YUMS I MUST SAY 😚😤

Now as for the braised pork rice, yup you saw that right. $3.50!!! DAMN VALUE FOR MONEY considering the quality of the meat and how you get an egg and vegetable together with it! <3

I'm also so glad that there isn't any gamey / porky smell and taste - REALLY THUMBS UP 👍🏻 Also, there is a balanced ratio of fats to lean meat such that it doesn't get too cloying. 🤤

Honorable mention: their chilli 🤪🌶

The tangy spice really helps cut through the fattiness of the meat so it doesnt get overwhelming.

RUN HERE NOW. LIKE RIGHT NOW PLEASE. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️ i reached there at 11.10am and theres already a significantly long queue LOL (ok but tbh the queue moves very fast and the aunty very friendly 😃)
