Our favourite braised pork rice in Taiwan 🇹🇼

If you are looking for the best braised pork rice (lu rou fan) in Taipei, you definitely need to check out Wang’s Broth ! Located at Huaxi Street Market, the stall has also been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand.

We ordered the stewed pork rice with mushroom, braised pork rice and their signature steamed minced pork with pickles soup.

🐷 Stewed pork rice with mushroom (NTD 95, SGD 4)

The rice contains your standard braised pork, braised mushrooms and a huge piece of stewed pork. The stewed pork simply melts in your mouth and the braised pork and mushrooms were so tender. The pork was fatty and not too greasy as well.

🥣 Steamed minced pork with pickles soup (NTD 70, SGD 3)

The pickled cucumber soup tasted savoury and sweet, slightly similar to winter melon soup. The minced pork was smooth and tender.

🍚 Braised pork rice (NTD 30, SGD 1.30)

Simple bowl of rice with braised pork that is fatty and melts in your mouth! 💯

👍 This was arguably the best braised pork rice we had in our entire Taiwan trip! A definite must go!
