Leitao: Exquisite Portuguese Delights in New York

Previously tempted by Portuguese cuisine, I finally had the chance to try it and it was delicious! The menu options weren't extensive, but every dish we ordered was fantastic! I highly recommend visiting this place.

Porco Preto:

No need for many words, this is a must-try and incredibly delicious. The pork chop with its flavorful sauce is a match made in heaven, especially when paired with bread. The flavors are rich, with a tangy and refreshing taste that complements the pork chop perfectly.

Piri Piri Chicken:

The chicken is delicious! Chicken thighs and breasts served with a generous amount of spicy red oil. The seasoning is unique, more on the aromatic side than spicy, with a pronounced smoky flavor. Another great bread pairing. The only downside is that the chicken can be a bit dry.

Salad de Polvo:

The large, crispy octopus legs are delightfully tender inside! The salad consists of leafy greens and salsa, which complement each other well. It's packed with plenty of green and red peppers, along with a tangy vinaigrette dressing. It's refreshing and balances out the richness of the meat dishes on the table.

Pasteis de Nata:

When dining at a Portuguese restaurant, it's a must to order the Portuguese egg tarts! Even those who aren't fans of egg tarts will fall in love with them.
