how to spend a day in Cascais, Portugal 🇵🇹

here is a suggested itinerary for a day trip!

1. morning stroll: start your day with a leisurely stroll along the beautiful cascais streets for some exercise. you'll want to stop for a morning coffee or pastry as well.

2. visit a cascais beach: spend some time relaxing on a cascais beach. you can swim, sunbathe, or even try some water sports like windsurfing or paddleboarding if you're feeling adventurous.

i visited two beaches ⬇️

• Praia do Guincho - the Praia do Guincho is absolutely beautiful, but tends to be wild and rugged, often too blustery for a relaxing beach day. i spent an evening here watching the sunset, but the waves were too large for me to get in the water. it would be perfect for surfing or water sports!

• Praia Nossa Senhora da Conceicao - these neighboring beaches are a hive of activity during the summer. there are no waves or currents, and the beach is supervised by lifeguards.

3. lunch at a seafood restaurant 🦞 there are so many seafood restaurants in the cascais to choose from.

4. Boca do Inferno : take a short drive or walk to boca do inferno, a dramatic cliff formation where waves crash into the rocks. it is a fantastic natural wonder.

5. grab some ice cream 🍦: i tried the "pastéis de nata" flavor and it was amazing!! ice cream always tastes better in europe. 🤭 i enjoyed my ice cream as i took in the views of boca do inferno.
