Alternative brands for Chiate Nougat Cracker?

It’s September season and Chiate stopped production of their famous green onion nougat cracker due to them focusing on mooncakes production. We bought alternatives to try but is it better than Chiate’s?

Cracker is crispy and soft but not as fragrant as Chiate. The nougat is soft but tastes very sweet and milky. There’s 14 pieces in a box. Just buy their baked taro pastry with yolk, chef’s kiss!

The nougat is very chewy and sticks to your teeth 😬 the cracker is hard too and I don’t taste the green onion🫠 There’s 12 pieces in a box. Just buy their peanut egg roll.

It’s worthy to note that one pack of Chiate biscuit has 2 pcs in it whereas these 2 brands are packed with only 1 pc each.

Conclusion: Don’t go to Taiwan in Sept if you are bent on buying their Nougat biscuit!
