Is Five Oars Coffee Roaster overhyped? 😍😋🤤

@focr.sg is a popular homegrown cafe with two outlets at Tanjong Pagar and East Coast. The latter features a spacious space with a large barista bar that occupies the centre and a open kitchen to the rear, serving a good selection of all-day breakfast dishes and casual dinner fare 😍🔥💯

The housemade spaghetti was slightly thicker than normal but al dente and perfectly coated with thick, creamy sauce. It might be a little too thick for some but we loved the creaminess along with a touch of savouriness and fragrance from the bacon and egg respectively. Also, the portion is quite big so it's good to share if you want to try more dishes.

Just wow!! The 3 pieces of snapper was lightly battered and fried to perfection. Crispy yet moist and fluffy. Since there's no much seasoning, you can actually taste the freshness and this is also where the housemade tartar sauce comes in to enhance the flavours with its semi-sweet, semi-savory flavor profile, with a bit of tartness. The fries was good as well, can't go wrong given how delicious the mains were!

💬 TLDR: Dollar well-spent here. Food was remarkable and comes in generous portion with nice ambience. We can see why the hype and it's definitely one of the (few) better cafes we have been to!
