$10.5 Ikea Fish & Chips...worth?

Many go to @ikeasingapore for their furniture but glutton me go for their food and I always look forward to new additions to their menu! 🤤😋

• 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡 & 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐭 ($𝟏𝟎.𝟓) 🌟

Recommend this not so much for the taste but how value-for-money this is as it comes with 5 plant-based meat balls, a bowl of mushroom soup, a slice of garlic toast. The batter on the fish was rather thick though it's still pretty crispy with silky smooth flesh and no unpleasant fishy taste. Fries were fluffy but definitely not crispy. The plant-based ball were impressive because the texture really resembles legit meatballs but flavourwise, it just taste like mushroom - tasty but i still prefer my beef meatballs. Moving on to the toast, it's a little hard but nicely toasted with good amount of butteriness and garlicky flavour, best dipped in the creamy mushroom soup (probably canned HAHAH).

Can't leave Ikea without ordering their wings. The wings are crispy, well-marinated skin and tender. Always so comforting.

Glad that I can order this separately as it's usually served as a set with the salmon. These yummy madellions has a potatoey creaminess with broccoli & leek fragrance and crunch from onion and hint of cheesiness.

• 𝐂𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐧 ($𝟏.𝟐)

The bun was moist, dense and...very hard with a generous cinnamon spread within. Sweet and fragrant but too hard for our liking.

💬 TLDR: It's comfortingly good and affordable but of course, don't expect restaurant quality.
