Chinese Skewers From Only $1++ 🍢

This skewer place located just 3mins walk away from Bencoolen MRT ain't easy to miss with its colourfully lit LED signboard 🍢🍢🍢

• 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐤𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 ($𝟏++)

The first bite was salty but it's fine after a few bite as you get used to their seasonings. Not that nice but not too bad either. But I would very much get satays from hawkers than paying for this here.

• 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐤𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 ($𝟏.𝟐++) 🌟

This was sooo good! Meat was tender with good amount of fats that just burst in your mouth with fragrance 💯

• 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐒𝐤𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 ($𝟏.𝟓++) 🌟

Has a good mix of lean and fatty meat that's flavoursome and juicy but the meat tend to be tougher or chewier.

• 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰 𝐄𝐧𝐨𝐤𝐢 ($𝟏.𝟓++)

Maybe because the seasoning didn't go well with the pork belly slices, but it taste really unpalatable.

• 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 ($𝟏++)

Thought it was the chilli crab kind of mantou but it's actually the bigger and flatter kind of chinese bun. It's crispy but lack the buttery and sweetish element we were expected. The only taste came from the salt they had sprinkled on top.

• 𝐓𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 ($𝟓++)

Good sharing portion with lots of minced garlic, chilli padi and oil. Very flavoursome but also very oily.

• 𝐄𝐠𝐠𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 ($𝟓++) 🌟

Topped with minced garlic, scallion and chilli padi that goes well with the soft and mushy eggplant. Delicious but not the best eggplants.

• 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐬 ($𝟑.𝟖++)

Looks succulent and topped with glass noodles, garlic, scallion and chilli padi. Didn't eat this so can't review.

• 𝐏𝐢𝐠𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 ($𝟏.𝟓++)

Quite expensive for a few pieces but can't review as well because I didn't eat it.

• 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞 ($𝟏+)

OMG possibly the worst rice ever. The rice is sooo undercook you can actually taste and feel the raw grain itself. Like how to screw rice up. It would have been so nice to go along with all the strong tasting skewers and dishes.

• 𝐒𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞 ($𝟔++)

One of the beer options for all you beer drinkers! Personally didn't enjoy it as I don't drink beers.

💬 TLDR: Quite a few hit & misses but they have alot other variety as well. A decent place to grab some supper because they open till 5am but not somewhere you will frequent as the food are rather salty and oily. Also, do check if you get everything you have ordered because we ordered 11 sticks and only 10 came but we didn't pursue it.
