Breakfast Spot in Bangkok

Nestled in an office building in central Bangkok, this is another branch of the traditional old-school Chinese style coffee shop that has been around for over 70 years. Kope Hya Tai Kee has a vintage decor and offers traditional fusion food choices.

The signature item here is the “Kai Kra Ta”, which is a savoury dish that consists of fried eggs and minced meat. They also offer Western-Thai fusion dishes, and Chinese-Thai style dishes like Fried Rice, Green Curry dishes, Porridge, Tom Yum Noodles, Minced Pork Noodles, and more. Menu was easy to read as there’s English translations.

We ordered the signature Kai Kra Ta, Soft Boiled Rice, Toast with Egg set, Milk Tea and Black Coffee for about 490 baht (~$18 SGD).

It was well worth it and something different for breakfast.
