I put the amount I used of each ingredient except the meat and water. That’s really up to your own discretion how meaty you want it. And, as far as water, I used half a stew pot of water. I used 2.12 lbs of meat. I don’t add salt and pepper, but if you like it, by all means…
I’ll add a bowl of the finished thing when it’s done tonight. Mind you, this makes A LOT bc I feed a lot of mouths.
I cook in a stew pot on the stove on simmer for about 6 hours so the meat is super tender.
This is a Fall favorite in my house. This huge pot will be empty by the end of the night. And, for some reason it isn’t, I freeze what’s leftover for another meal.
Shoot! I almost forgot my secret little ingredient! White cooking wine. About 1/4 c. That’s not so much about flavor than it is the meat. White cooking wine makes meats very, very tender. I don’t add a lot. Just enough.
