At home DIY IPL gone wrong! 😑

Don’t get these!!! 🤬

IPL treatment at home can be super convenient for lazy people like me! That’s the reason why I got the IPL machine to avoid long waiting time at the professional salons and also to save money long term. But I WAS SO WRONG 😤 Totally regretted my decision!!!

This IPL machine I got from Shopee was only $50+ and I was thinking, what a deal! A few shots at professional salons already costs more than this, so why not! And now I know the reason why it’s so cheap. It totally destroyed my skin. I mean for real. DESTROYED my entire body!!!

I did IPL on both my hands and legs but these rash grew ALL OVER MY BODY. Including my back, and chest and boobs area. It was SUPER ITCHY especially at night and it affected my daily activities so this hit me really hard. Also I had to wear long sleeve and long pants as I became really insecure of the scratches on all over my body:(( I went to see 4 different doctors and total my medical treatment damage was about $2k. Also took a really long time to recover, about 2 years!!! 😢 And there are still scars around my back area no matter how much medicine or lotion I put, so it’s pretty sad.

So pls!! It’s not worth it and would safely say DIY home treatment is #NotForMe !!!! If y’all wanna do DIY treatment at home pls at least get a better machine like Braun, take this as a hard lesson learnt from me! Don’t save small monies like this because it not worth it to risk your skin. I honestly rather be hairy 🤣
