Sure, you can fit all the highlights of Italy into one week. OR you could channel your inner slow traveler and spend the week exploring all the intricacies of one region to connect on a whole new level.
Tuscany is one of those regions you could probably spend a whole month in and have barely scratched the surface. But, most of us don’t have PTO plans that accommodate that. So instead, steal my Slow Travel Itinerary for Tuscany, Italy:
⛪Days 1-3: FlorenceFlorence
Art, architecture, food, shopping - need I say more? Florence is one of my favorite cities and I’ve got all the details for you in my FREE Florence City guide.
🍷Day 4: San Gimignano & Chianti Wine RegionSan Gimignano
The iconic towers of San Gimignano on top of the rolling hills of the Tuscany countryside cannot be missed! And it also just happens to be surrounded by one of the best wine regions in Italy. This can easily be made as a day trip from Florence, so you don’t even have to pack up!
🏛️Day 5: Pisa and LuccaPisa Lucca
Were you really in Italy if you don’t have the iconic photo at the leaning tower of Pisa? This stop can easily be combined with a visit to the quaint and historic town of Lucca for a perfect day trip from Florence.
🏖️Day 6-7: Cinque TerreCinque Terre
Ok this time, you will have to pack up! Trust me, you’ll want to spend more than one day exploring the five beautiful coastal towns of Cinque Terre.
Would you spend a week exploring Tuscany?
