🇸🇬 beat the heat with my favourite japanese dessert

i LOOOVED eating japanese shaved ice (kakigōri) when i was in japan over the summer, so i was elated when sakanoue cafe did a pop-up in singapore at isetan!!! 🍧🎶

the pop-up is only on until april 11th 🥲 but FRET NOT if you missed it because they are opening a permanent store in KL 😉 keep an eye out on their IG (sakanouecafe_kul) for updates~

if you're skeptical about giving kakigōri a try because of it's price, and maybe you think it's the same as bingsu, i guarantee you that it's definitely a different flavour experience compared to bingsu! kakigōri ice is not milk-based like bingsu, and i would say that the ice is finer and softer than bingsu ice🧊 and most kakigōri come with a cream on top that is the SOFTEST cream you'll ever have the pleasure of putting in your mouth 🤤

the kakigōri flavours rotate at the pop-up, so you should check their IG for the menu before you head down, but their signature flavour is 🍓strawberry cream🍓and i highly recommend it!!! also it looks like it came STRAIGHT out of an anime it's insanely cute

if you can't go to japan during the summer season to try kakigōri, you should definitely try it at sakanoue cafe~
