Cherry Blossom PWS in Japan 🌸🇯🇵

We went to Kyoto last year (Mar 2023) for our cherry blossom themed PWS! 🌸💖 hope this is useful if you are considering an overseas PWS too!

So in Oct 2022, my bf and I went for our first wedding fair just to kaypoh, but we ended up signing not 1 but 2 overseas PWS package…🤡 we were not even engaged yet, but we fell into the trap as the sales associate was really good at hard-selling:”)

However, looking back at it now, we don’t have any regrets as the pictures turned out really pretty! Here are some of the pros and cons~

Pros 👍🏻:

1. Travelling while taking your PWS

Fun fact we had actually booked our Japan flight prior to signing the package. So we felt that since we were already going to travel to Japan, why not take this chance to do the PWS there too!

2. Beautiful scenery that SG does not offer

I really love pink and cherry blossoms so I love how the pictures turned out!

3. Great service from the bridal vendor

Prior to flying off to Japan, we had to choose our gowns and suits in SG. The service was friendly and they allowed me to try on as many dresses as I liked before deciding my final 3. The actual shooting experience was great too as the photographer was funny and professional! My MUA/helper was also very nice and helpful in helping me change outfits, carry things and touch up makeup etc.

Cons 👎🏻:

1. Repeated poses in the pictures

While I really appreciated the photographer for directing our poses as we are both awkward and shy ppl, I felt like the poses ended up being too similar and I wish there were more candid poses :”)

2. Too little pictures

We took over 200+ photos in total, but we were not able to keep all the original softcopy photos. Instead, our package only had 36 edited photos :( We ended up adding 2 more photos (at the price of $50 per photo).

3. Bringing our outfits and shoes

We had to bring our rented gowns and suits to Japan so we had 1 luggage just for it. Thankfully we had the daiso compressor bags to compress the poofy gowns hahaha. It was slightly inconvenient and we wished that the bridal company could have arranged it for us.
