An overseas PWS can be fuss free and affordable!

I have benefited from the many tips on overseas PWS here that I decided to give my two cents worth after going through mine☺️

As a fan of kdramas, I have always wanted to have my shoot in Korea and in nature with the vast greenlands. Plus, I can have a holiday there at the same time. It’s a win-win! 😍

Initial Concerns:

Cost: is it gonna be expensive? Considering car rental and translator?

Language barrier: I cannot speak fluent Korean nor read Korean characters

Logistics: is it difficult to source for the gown, suit, makeup etc

Planning process:

1. Decide on the photo style. Just do a simple search on insta and you can find many local photographers in Jeju🙂

2. DM them on insta/ kakao them. Do it in English if you do not know Korean. They can translate it.

Note that some photographers offer package including MUA and gown/ suit, while some require you to book separately ( do not worry at this stage they will guide you through the step by step process and recommend to you their sister shops if you have no idea where to go).

Tip 1 💡: for a fuss free experience we chose a foreigner friendly photographer who offers a package with suit, gown, MUA, translator and driver.

Tip 2 💡: Search for reviews on NAVER.

Tip 3 💡: BARGAIN. Don’t be shy and remember you only get what you ask for! (We paid

3. Decide on the date and make the booking. You will be required to make a deposit.

Tip 4 💡: Always ask questions when in doubt.

Tip 5 💡: leave some flexibility when planning your trip. In case of bad weather, you can change the shoot to another day!

4. On the day itself, discuss with the photographer what kind of style you prefer and if you would like an indoor shoot. For us, we skipped the indoors and did all outdoors as we really love the nature and wanted places with flowers, trees and beach. Do not hesitate to show some photos so they get a better idea of what your are looking for. Fitting was done on the same day for us.

Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐:I would say it’s a 10/10 experience there. From the makeup to the shoot, everyone has been really friendly and hospitable. No regrets and would highly recommend!🤗
