By eating certain foods during different parts of my cycle, I have been able to reduce my PMS significantlyyy!!
During the menstrual phase, we want to focus on…
- warmer foods (soups, stews)
- cooked foods (vs raw)
- nutrient-dense foods (to support our body while hormones are at its lowest)
We also want to prioritize eating MORE in this phase & supporting our body in the best ways … aka, more rest & self care!!
☕️ drinking certain teas during this phase can help reduce PMS symptoms
🥩 eating protein that’s high in vitamins like B12 & magnesium can replenish your body
🥔 higher carbs during this phase can best support any fatigue or low energy that you may experience
🌻 sunflower & sesame seeds during this phase help balance out estrogen & progesterone levels (reducing likelihood of PMS :))
