Internally warming and nourishing foods are always going to be number one during this phase, so what can you start incorporating into your monthly grocery hauls to best support your hormones?
Veggies: Kale, beets, mushrooms, collard greens, sea greens (like seaweed), sweet potato, and other root vegetables.
Fruits: Dark colored berries, concord grapes, watermelon
Grains: Buckwheat, wild rice, sourdough
Nuts and seeds: Pumpkin, flax seeds, chestnuts, peanuts [properly prepared]
Protein: Kidney beans, duck, pork, shellfish, sardines, grass fed red meat, & liver
Herbs: Red raspberry leaf, nettle leaf, turmeric
EXTRA CREDIT: Miso, himalayan sea salt, tamari, liquid aminos, & trace minerals
