Up for some famous, toasted buns in 🇹🇭? 🍞🤭

When in bangkok, you definitely have to make a trip down to Chinatown! Would recommend you to leave about half a day to explore the variety of roadside foodstalls😁 For me, I preferred to explore chinatown at night to avoid the hot afternoon sun 😖

And if course, one of the highlights of my trip to Chinatown were these highly raved, tasty toasted buns that definitely lived up to its expectations !! 😎

📍 Yaowarat Toasted Buns

Address: 452 ถ. เยาวราช Samphanthawong, Bangkok 10100, Thailand

Directions: Get your driver to alight you at Chinatown, and just walk along the roadside. You'll easily be able to spot their food cart just by their sign!

Specialities: All of their flavours seem pretty good, but the egg custard, kaya and butter sugar seem to be most top picks for many 🤤

💸 Cost: 25 Baht per piece (a little less than $1!) Super affordable and value for money!

💬 Honest reviews: Based on the flavours that we chose, I loved the butter sugar the most, and milk the least! Each filling in the bun was super generous, and super gao - it made me more full than I expected after finishing one bun 😓 The texture of the bun was also super crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside! Don't know how they do it, but it slaps 🤭

If you're not a fan of "hard" buns, this may not be for you bc of the outside texture! Also, if you don't like eating messy foods, this may be too much of a hassle to eat because of the generous fillings that tend to spill out 😅

However, for such an affordable price of $1 for a bun, I would really highly recommend everyone to give this at least one try 🤤 I tried the yung yung toasted buns at Bishan after seeing a review on Lemon8, but these buns really taste much more authentic and tasty! Don't give it a miss okie? 😎🇹🇭
