All you need is $22/mth to start skating

A little click baitey but it’s true, you need less than $30/mth for 5 months to pick up long boarding (which is way lower than your average pilates or spin classes)

These are the few things you need to invest in to start skating.

1. A board of your choice

2. Protective gear

3. A small towel

4. Socks (preferably high socks)

5. Lace up skate appropriate shoes

So I had a small towel, quite a few pairs of high socks already, and I have a pair of feiyues that are comfortable for skating. No. 3-5 are the items that most of us are likely to have at home already, and if you do, your starting costs won’t be high.

What I bought to start skating was my;

1. Oxelo cruiser - $80

2. Protective gear - $25

3. A new small towel - $5

Total cost = $110

If you skate regularly at least once a week to pick up skating across 5 months, by which you should be able to skate comfortably, your monthly cost for skating is only $22!!

The best part about skating is that any park or stretch of road is your studio, and you don’t have to pay for it, it’s already government funded😉

So just head to decathlon and take a chance at a new fun sport🛹
