Day One is usually the worse day of most women’s menstrual cycle. Here are some tips I have learned to utilize to help make Day One of my menstrual cycle easier.

🧹 Tip 1: If you hate taking pain meds (like me) and desire to find a different way to handle menstrual cramps, Lila’a pads are the best👏🏼! They are all natural ingredients, last up to 12hrs, and it helps relieve the pain instantly. Lila’s pads are adhesive patches. You just stick a pad to your abdomen, and the natural ingredients began to work while you relax. Lila’s pads can be found on Amazon.

🧹 Tip 2: Ginger-Lemon tea with Manuka honey and chia seeds is my favorite period drink🤩. Ginger and chia seeds naturally help the gut. This will also work to relieve any cramps. Manuka honey has all natural properties - so the sugar won’t worsen the pain but helps relieve the pain while bringing healing to your overall body. Lemons 🍋 have the best benefits when healing the body as well.

🧹 Tip 3: De-stress😮‍💨!! The perfect time to self-care is when your period is on! Yes! You read that accurately. Your body is naturally detoxifying itself. Your body naturally wants to rest, sleep and heal. Planning self-care weeks around your cycle will help bring refreshment to your body. Create an environment that helps nurture de-stressing during your cycle. Avoid stress if you can. Work with your body, not against it. You can walk, but if your body is not ready for a full body workout, don’t force it. Relax.
