🇨🇳 Claypot Rice in Guangzhou - 民记vs万兴

During my trip to Guangzhou, I had the opportunity to try 2 different famous claypot rice joints near the Beijing Road shopping district.

民记煲仔饭 is the more famous of the two, and there was a long queue when we went for dinner, we had to wait for an hour before getting a seat.

万兴煲仔饭 also has a long heritage, but queues were shorter and moved faster.

Both are pretty good in terms of taste though it’s slightly different from the Singapore/Malaysia style claypot rice.

I’d say I prefer 万兴’s one much better. The chicken was more flavorful. However, I’d not add the salted fish as it’s just too much and contains bones.
